Look out MTC...here he comes!

This is the beginning Jotty's mission blog. He was supposed to be entering the MTC on Miles' birthday- September 14th. However, as we exited the Birmingham temple Wednesday Jim had a message on his phone. It was President Bess saying that he'd received a call saying that Jotty's entry into the MTC had been delayed until October 5th because he would be part of a "pilot program" where the missionaries only spend 5 weeks in the MTC instead of 8 weeks. He's kind of bummed about it since he has been READY to go for awhile. There were a few other delays before this: vaccines that couldn't be lined up, interviews that couldn't get coordinated, etc. On the other hand, now he can go see Weird Al in Montgomery on Sept 29th. It's a small comfort but it'll work.
